ORGAINVENT Entwicklungs- und Koordinationsgesellschaft mbH
ORGAINVENT was founded on 21st November 1997. The CMA Centrale Marketinggesellschaft der deutschen Agrarwirtschaft mbH (Central Marketing Organisation of German Agricultural Industries, i.L) in Bonn and the EHI Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH (Retail Institute) in Cologne acted as shareholders.
The purpose of our business is the “development and coordination of identification, assurance and merchandise management systems between the agricultural industry and the food retail trade”.
ORGAINVENT sees itself as a “round table” between the agricultural industry, the food retail trade and the public authorities.
In connection with this, we have developed various systems for the identification and traceability of foodstuffs and have also established ourselves as a coordinator for the agricultural stage in the QS System.
- 01/07/1998: Labelling and traceability of beef in accordance with EC Reg. 820/97 and EC Reg. 1760/2000 (since 1/9/2000), BLE licence no. DE-05-1998-BLES0001-0
- 01/12/1999: Labelling and traceability of pig meats
- 01/01/2000: Labelling and traceability of poultry meat
- 24/02/2003: Approved QS Coordinator for the agricultural sector: Livestock farming
- 01/09/2005: Approved QS Coordinator for the agricultural sector: Arable farming (cereal and root crops)
- 01/07/2007: Approved QS Coordinator for the agricultural sector: Fruit, vegetables, potatoes
- 01/01/2008: QS Salmonella Database also made available to non-QS businesses through ORGAINVENT
