The QS System is a multi-stage system of verification that specifies criteria for the production, subsequent processing and trade of foodstuffs and independently monitors them. In order to ensure transparency, consistency and traceability in the system, the system stipulates fixed criteria that every subscriber must meet in addition to their adherence to the legal requirements. Some requirements also apply to the agricultural sector in the QS System; compliance with these requirements is regularly checked.

The advantage for the participating farmer: QS guarantees the observation and documentation of all legal requirements and hence also the cross-compliance requirements. In addition, QS stands for security of sales since all the market requirements are fulfilled.

Agricultural businesses that wish to subscribe to the QS System must register with the QS System through a so-called QS Coordinator.

Since 2003, ORGAINVENT GmbH has been available to interested agricultural businesses as a marketing-independent QS coordinator.
