ORGAINVENT has been providing an officially licensed labelling system for beef ever since March 1998. BLE (German Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food) approval is required when facultative declarations concerning the beef (e.g. breed, category, type of housing or feeding, or regional origin) are displayed for marketing purposes. At the request of the industry, ORGAINVENT has also developed traceability and labelling systems for poultry meat and pork; both systems are, however, not required by law. You can find further information on thes topics too, under the headings "Poultry meat labelling" and "Pork labelling".
